How long does one pass take for memtest86?

Intel i5 3570k
Samsung 840 EVO
Memtest ver 4.3.7

Hi guys,

I'm just wondering how long it usually takes for one pass on memtest as it's REALLY slow for me.
I've gotten 24 Iterations and only 1 pass with 0 fails in 3:12 hours and I've seen others run for one hour with like 4+ passes already. Is there something wrong with my system? I'm testing for memory failure.

It takes as long as it takes. You have a lot of RAM

you have lot of ram , so it´s normal take too much time . anyway you should do 4 + passages to be sure about no errors

If you are testing for memory failure, you want to let it run for 24+ hrs. Stress the memory and see if it fails. Remember that if it doesn't throw errors after letting it run, you can only be reasonably assured that there isn't a memory issue (95%).
