Question How long to leave 7zip at 99%?

Have been extracting a huge folder, an NTDS partition from the image file of my older dying HDD. It is 2TB, the elapsed time has stayed at 15 hours for 4 hours, nothing else has changed, no HDD activity, although the program itself hasnt become unresponsive. There is no option to skip a file btw. So what do you reckon it is doing and how long will it take? Thank you.

you should be able to just mount this image within the OS and copy/paste any specific folders or files to wherever you want.
no need to use 7zip.

it wouldn't normally take anywhere near this long unless you are using some old potato system and/or some failing drive so i would just end the process.

Is zip file located on this dying HDD?
Or you're extracting zip file onto dying HDD?

Copy zip file to a normal non-dying HDD.
