[SOLVED] How long will a 3900X and 2080 Super last?

Hi, how long will a Ryzen 9 3900X and a RTX 2080 Super last for 1080p gaming. Also would I be better off waiting for new Ryzen 4th gen or should I pull the trigger on these parts now?

I game casually at 1080p and I have a 3700x and a 2060 Super and I don't expect to have to upgrade for at least 4-5 years.
I play mostly single player fps and action rpg's.

for 1080p gaming? a long long long time. the 2080 is overpowered for 1080p. that is a 4k class card. no reason to wait.
My 955 black and Hd 7950 are fine for 1080P gaming (medium), and they are old AF.
you could be fine with a ryzen 1200 and a 1060 for 1080 gaming for a while.

At 1080p 3900X and 2800 Super combo will last you a decent 2-3Yrs ultra settings 60fps+ for majority of graphic intense games. After that by lowering few settings its usage can be extended to 4-5Yrs.

Nothing is overkill. They last longer than lower end components without the requirement of upgrade and with minimal to no compromise in gaming experience.
