How long will this rig last

Phenom II 955
Radeon 5770 1gb
4gb DDR3 RAM
MSI 880gm-e41
my screen res is 1280x1024 (the highest res) and I always play games on max settings (without aa)
Can you please tell me how long time is left until I have to play games on medium or low settings

That's really really tough to determine. I don't know that anyone is gonna give you a definite answer because we just simply don't know. If you can play games at max settings now then you should be good for a while, maybe a few years, but there's no foreseeing how pc's and game requirements will change and when.

At that res, i reckon you will be good for another 1-2 years.

Depends what games you get ie witcher 2 you may be close already but generally another year or 2 you may be OK.

Untill the game you want to play at that resolution becomes FPS bound, which could be today, or next year or in 2 years....

Also, are you using a CRT? Do the world (and your eyes) a favor and switch to a small LED LCD.
