How many 3-pin fans can i connect to a MSI Z370-A Pro?

I am going to buy a MSI Z370-A Pro as well as 4 new 120mm fans(Corsair SP120 low loise) and i was wondering if anyone knows if my motherboard will support up too 4 fans in addition to a CPU cooler.

Yes, it has enough fan headers for that.

According to the official specifications, it has one pin for the CPU cooler fan, one header for the water cooling pump, and 4 connectors for system fans - that should fit your needs.

No issues, 3-pin fan connectors install into 4-pin headers just fine. The 4-pin connectors are for fans with high power consumption. The 3-pin connector only goes in one way, I think - it's fairly easy to figure out - if the fan doesn't spin, you've got it wrong. Simple enough.

Why don't you choose Corsair Air Series SP120 PWM Quiet Edition instead (with 4pin fan headers) ?

the Corsair sp120 low noise costs about 45 for a pack of four of them. Are the other cheeper, and are they better?

They are PWM regulated, meant to be connected to 4pin connectors on your motherboard, cost about the same.

You can use regular 3pin fans also. You just can't regulate them with pwm.

for your 3 pins case fan in the msi bios you put them as dc fan and they will work at full speed .
