Hello,

I currently have an FX-8320, a R9 270X club3d royalqueen 2gb and 16 gb of ram in my pc.
Now when I am playing gta v i get around 40-45 fps,

I was wondering if i upgrade to a Geforce GTX 970 4gb, will i get a full smooth 60 fps experience?
My fps will go up no doubt about that, because the 970 is quite more powerfull than my current gpu. OR, will i get my 60 fps, or atleast a significant increase of fps if i overclock my cpu and my gpu?
What would you guys recommend me?

P.S All my components have ZERO overclock.

Cheers

Indeed. Unless you can wait for the next gen GPUs like the 1060, 1070. But even so, the performance upgrade of the 960 over the 760 and the 970 over the 770...

Ahh I see now, But how about a gtx 960 4gb?

A 960 would be just a slight increase in performance, but more vram would let you increase graphic settings that do require more vram. Although I dont think that you would be playing at 60 fps with medium-high or max graphic settings.

So a 970 is highly recommended by you?

A 960 is better than a 270x, but its not a huge jump in performance, i would get the 970, the 960 can barely reach 60 FPS using only FXAA, and vegetation brings it to it's knees, it will drop to 30-40 when looking at it.
