how many gb does xbox 360 disc have

i do not get this on a PC Game it takes up about 30GB to 50GB how do they compress all of the data down to a 8GB disc

do they use HD DVD DL that holds 30 GB

Seeing as even an XBox One looks low definition compared to a mid range gaming PC I would guess it's because the game is much smaller for XBox due to far less detailed textures

Xbox 360 uses DVD disks for games so my guess is dual layer DVDs 9.4GB. The HD-DVD was an external add on device for the Xbox 360 and used for reading HD-DVD movies not for games IIRC.

Xbox 360 uses DVD disks for games so my guess is dual layer DVDs 9.4GB. The HD-DVD was an external add on device for the Xbox 360 and used for reading HD-DVD movies not for games IIRC.

Actually, it's about 8.7GB dual layer.

Yeah I accidentally used the number from a dual layer DVD-RAM disk..

wow that is a lot of compression i thought they had like a HD DVD or something. they just take out all the Video QTY of the game. then they compress it right?

They basically compress everything and reuse sounds, textures, ect as much as they can. Also the updates that get downloaded are on the hard drive and so are any DLC. For more info use google as there is much more info out there.
