How many watts for a GTX 970

-Cooler Master HAF 932 Advanced
-Samsung 850 EVO 250GB 2.5-Inch SATA III
-Asus 24x Video Burner
-Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB
How much watts would I need to keep it stable? How about with 2 GTX's?

750 watts IF you plan on overclocking.

Other than that a 600 is perfect without overclock.

850 watt if you plan running SLI later on.

A good 750W, like the EVGA B2 750 is the smallest PSU I'd use, and I'd buy an 850 if the price were similar.. That would give the headroom for SLI.

You don't mention your motherboard, I assume that it is a good SLI capable Z97 board.

I think the OP wants to SLI as well.

That's up to 200W (unlikely) for the CPU overclocked and the system, a pair of GTX 970s at 150 a piece for 300 with another 100 to 200 headroom required for transient demand spikes and to keep the PSU at it's efficient max.

I'd use 650 for SLI or Overclocking, but not both.

Get the EVGA B2 750W (SLI+low Voltage/slight OC )

EVGA B2 850W if u want to be Perfectly safe that thing will support your system Including Overclocked GPUs and CPU with no problem

Then go for 750W, i recommend a Seasonic Platinium or XFX. Corsair RM are ok, but only the models 450, 550 and 650, which are made by channel well.

after that just as good is Seasonic

Also the OEM that makes the Antec 1200W Psus (cant remember the name but i saw a vid of someone PULLING 2200Watts out of the wall with that PSU ) lol

EVGA G2 B2 and P2 are very good XFX is seasonic Made Corsair TX HX and AX AND AXI are all good

550w such as the xfx p1/ts would be plenty of power for a single 970 in that system even with everything overclocked liked crazy. the second card will want some more power of course and 750w would be plenty there as well. the evga b2 750w is more than enough and usually a decent price. any more than that and you're not going to be using the psu's abilities. you could actually use 650w for the sli 970's but that would be pushing even a high quality unit to it's limits.

unless you find a good sale, 850 or more watts is not worth the expense. here is the b2, great price and even semi modular
