how many Watts would i need

So lets say with my gtx 760 i need a 500w psu, if i decided to sli with two of them would i need a 1000w psu? Just curious for the future when i decide to sli

No, it's more about the amps on the 12v rail than the wattage. A good 750W PSU should be able to run those just fine.

Also a system equipped with Intel Core i7-3960X, ASUS P9X79 Deluxe, 16GB Corsair 1866MHz etc etc, and SLI 760, consume at max 520 watt in gaming mode..

I recommend corsair gold rated 750 watt PSU. Good enough to run 2 way SLI.
