how many words can contain a word pad document?

Im submitting my novel for a writing contest, they need a word count of my book but i only . Have word pad i was wondering how many words in a word pad if most of the files say 7kb or 12 kb. I hhave 52 files like this need to submit asap please help

wow, i mean, if you think about it, no one can answer your question. a word can have various number of characters

I'd suggest getting a free Office suite alternative like OpenOffice or LibreOffice.

It's hard to give an exact word count, but if it's written in English then you proably have around 200-250 words per kb in a text file. I'm not sure how much extra space is used by wordpad.
