Motherboard: asus m5a97 r2.0

8gb of ram

250gb samsung ssd

Thanks for your help

Do you have detailed spec? Brand/model of 970? (no 6GB 970 FWIW), which PSU?

With some aspect of defect, it's going to be a tough sell/limit your sale price if you disclose (which you should!).

An FX6300 is not in demand, unless it's extremely cheap.
A 970 should still be a ~$200 GPU, depending on the market.

Gut feel on it would be:
$100-$125 for the CPU/MB/RAM combo
$200ish for the GPU
Maybe $40 for the SSD

Case + PSU, unknown.

$350 range should be achievable as a total package, but you'd likely do better parting it out and reusing what's not got a lot of resale value (SSD, maybe the PSU, depending on what it is).

Actually, wow.... 970's are selling for less than I anticipated.
Just a feel weeks ago, $200+ (not a whole lot more, but north of $200) was pretty common.
Recent eBay sold listings are seeing them sell for $150-$175.

If looking at selling on eBay, that's what you could expect to sell a 970 Strix for. If you're selling locally, $200 or so should be achievable.

A case like the Haf912 likely won't sell for much. Locally, maybe $30 or so. Not worth selling online, as shipping will be ridiculous for a case.

The G750M isn't great (not horrible) but, used.... it's not going to command much.
You might luck out and find someone prepared to pay $30-$50.... but I wouldn't bank on it being much more than $20-$25 used.

Yep, I would toss the CPU/Motherboard/RAM as a cheap bundle, maybe $100 (That might be too much though)

I would keep the rest and buy a new platform. Keep the GPU for a while and see what comes out next year (Assuming GTX 970 or GTX 780 6GB, surely not a 980Ti that doesn't need replacing)

Your problem is that someone can go out and buy an entry level Ryzen CPU/Motherboard/Ram for about $250. Even less with an Intel Pentium, which for most purposes would still be faster than an FX chip.

Locally? $350-$400 range, with a bit of luck.

Online? It really depends. Someone will always buy a component, but nobodies paying a lot for anything other than the GPU.

Keep the GPU and SSD (is what I would do). Throw the balance on Craigslist/Kijiji/Your local equivalent. Take $200-$250.
