How much current/amperage does an 8700K draw under load?

My 8700K is currently running stock (no OC) for testing purposes. I noticed in the software HWiNFO the CPU Current reading under load is 50A. That is almost the bulk of the 63A on my 750W Seasonic PSU's 12V rail. I also have a 1080 Ti FTW3 that I overclock. Is that reading correct or do I need a much larger PSU?

Well a simple P=IV equation says that your power draw is 50A*12V which is 600W just on the CPU if you were to believe HWMonitor, which is ludicrous. A 750W high quality PSU should be plenty for that setup, I wouldn't worry about it and just ignore the number if all your hardware is working fine.

I suspected a wonky reading too. Perhaps I should rely on my UPS reading instead which I've never seen it pull more than 580W at the wall. That's the computer (overclocked) including the monitor and a couple of other things plugged into it.

Unfortunately not all is working fine though... I have an issue I'm currently troubleshooting which is dropouts on the graphics card in some particular games. I get intermittent hard freezes where the game locks up for 2-3 seconds. At the same time the GPU usage, GPU power consumption and FB usage all drop to near 0% at the same time before recovering. Oddly this is an issue for just some games. I've troubleshooted everything I can think of and I have no idea what this is. Maybe the graphics card itself is bad but again this only affects some games. If you have any ideas that would be great.
