Hello, Tom's Hardware!

I wanted to ask a question regarding my gaming PC.

I was planning to SLI graphic cards, and I was thinking of SLI-ing 2 4gb GTX 770s, but for 1080p its overkill. So I cut some budget on GPU for a dual 1080p monitor setup. Will I be playing on Ultra for any game? gpus are 2 770 2gbs

My Setup:

CPU: i7-4790k
MOBO- MSI Z97-G45 Gaming
GPU: 2gb geforce 770 twinfrozr sli

4gbs or 2gbs

ultra on 1080p

you cant game on 2 screens very well, the crosshairs would be between the screens. very uncomfortable. for 3 screens you will want the 4gb, for 1 screen the 2gb is fine. If you want the ability to sli and go triple monitor in the future, get the 4gb, but it is not needed for single moitor gaming

only last year I was thinking 2GB is more than enough (and remember upgrading my PC from 1MB to 4MB CPU RAM and thinking that was enough LOL), but recent games are pushing that now, even on 1 monitor. I presume you want to be at least a little bit future proof, all that GPU power would be wasted if more games come along which use >2GB. There is a trend and Vram usage is increasing for AAA releases. I would go for 3 or 4GB now.

Have you considered R9-280x crossfire? Awesome performance (exceeds my R9-290) and 3GB Vram and way cheaper than GTX770 2GB.

AMD Crossfire has driver issues, and from what I heard, you cant fully utilize the cards. 1 gpu is always sleeping.

I have a question:

If I have 4GB VRAM (Sapphire R9-270X Dual-X Boost OC 4GB GDDR5 256 Bit Video Card) may I increase the Anti Alliasing without slowing down (18.5 inch AOC 1360x768, mid or high ([strike]not ultra[/strike]) settings of BF 4)?

Because I will buy Sapphire R9 270x OC VAPOR-X 2GB or the Toxic version (because it has higher specs than Vapor-X).

AMD GPU's aren't really good with AA. I turn mine off since I don't notice anything different with it turned on anyway. So it always stays turned off no matter what.
