Case: Fractal design S
Ram: 8gb (2x4) 2666hz
Motherboard: Asus Z97-A
Storage: 250gb 2,5" Samsung 850 evo, 1TB WD Blue hdd.
CPU: i7 4790k 4.0 GHz
GPU: Amd R9 390
PSU: Antec 550w
OS: Windows 10 Pro 64 bit

I based the price on what each part could be valued at individually.
That's why I said up to $550.

But he could of course post it for more. Like $650 and lower the price over time if he gets no takers, or if somebody looks at that and says "hmm... I think I can haggle for less" and then end up getting the $550 he would've initially asked for. Doesn't hurt either if he already has the CPU and the GPU pre overclocked to their max stable levels and sells it like that.

In my experience at least I've had way more luck selling individual parts than selling whole systems. Selling the system as a whole on eBay is very difficult no matter what the price is. Selling the parts by themselves, on the other hand, there may be more demand for one particular part over the other and if the demand is high you can usually make more money that way.
