I am going to purchase a h170 motherboard probably because I do not intend to overclock, however I was checking some youtube videos about what will I be missing in case I would want to overcock in the future. The cpu is i5 6500.

I can say the profit of overclocking had been extreme. However, one thing is common on these builds. They are freaking expensive. When someone mades a "comprarison" video, it doesn't usually represent the average consumer. For example I was watching a video where the reviewer had been using an expensive motherboard and for gpu a titan x... This is rediculus. Of course the overclocked cpu will have much higher fps in games with that card. It freakng costs more than my whole pc. The gain has been an average of 10 maybe 15 fps which is huge, and makes you think "wow, I should overclock too!" But is this really the case? With more of a "normal" build and not 2K build pc, are you going to see such a difference?

With a cheap Z board (entry level), and a normal gpu like R9 380, are you going to notice any remarkable difference if you overclock your ram and cpu?
