I know this isnt a selling site. But i cant get a good figure for how much my system is actually worth.

These are my specs:

Processor (CPU) Intel® Core™ i7 Quad Core Processor i7 7700k (4.2GHz) 6MB Cache
Motherboard ASUS® STRIX B250H GAMING
Memory (RAM) 8GB Corsair VENGEANCE DDR4 2133MHz (2 x 4GB)
Graphics Card 6GB NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 1060
Hard Drive 2TB SEAGATE FIRECUDA 3.5" SSHD
Power Supply CORSAIR 650W TXm SERIES
Cooler master 240 lite water cooler

I also have 2 years left of warranty and a dvd drive. The system is in extremely good condition as ive only had it for a year but its just a big paper weight for me right now as ive started university so the extra money would be great.

I was thinking £1000 but when ive looked around you can get some pretty decent systems for less?
Whats a reasonable price for this system in good condition?

Thanks in advance

I would say about half of that , I mean for 1000 gdb I can build a brand new and better system, fully customized to my liking.

You are so off for most of them prices

Looking at completed listings on UK ebay, they're close on most of these.

7700k: £200
B250 MLB: £50
8 GB 2133 RAM: £40
GTX 1060 6 GB: £160
2 TB Seagate Firecuda: £50
Corsair 650W TXM: £35
Cooler Master: £25

You don't get a bonus for selling as a package, throw in the case and 550-600 seems perfectly reasonable. Given how it's unbalanced (i7 and cooler, but with a B motherboard and very slow RAM), I would expect more of a discount to move it as a unit than individually.

Yes, to build this PC new would cost more. You're not selling a new PC. You're selling a used PC and parts don't have odometers; even if you're 100% truthful that your PC is in pristine condition, to a stranger, it may as well be something used for mining 24/7. Buying a used PC is a gigantic risk for any buyer, which is why that risk is always priced in with significant reductions in cost.

I know USA prices. Not the prices for the other side of the pond. That said, I agree with the ~$500. I got a bit closer to $600, but I could see $500 if you wanted to sell it fast. Obviously you'll need to convert it to £, and your local market can change things. But in the USA that's a $500 or $600 used system.

Let me put my mod hat on now. While I agree that some of them aren't what I would think is the used price, he isn't that far off on most. You asked what the system would be worth, it's not nice to insult the members who reply. PC parts lose their value really fast. General rule of thumb is 50% gone after the first 2 years. It's not a bad gaming system. There are some odd part choices yes. But the fact is you can find new systems that perform similar for ~£800, so a used one is going to be worth less than that.
