How much of a difference does dual channel really do?

Hello everyone.
How much of a difference does dual channel really do in day to day tasks and gaming? I've looked up on some YT vidoes and seems to be pretty big when it comes down to gaming but I still wanna ask because I wanna know the opinion of someone who's been using single channel and now has upgraded to dual channel. My mainly focus is gaming. Will it be more stable fps? (better 1% and 0,1%)

8GB DRR4 2400 Mhz
RX 480 4GB
1Tb HDD
