How much of a power supply for a GTX 275 SLI / i7 setup?

Hi all,

I am planning on building a new PC, and the only thing I'm hung up on is my GPU setup. I know that I want to do SLI / Crossfire and I am leaning towards two GTX 275's.

The thing is, I'm not sure as to what power supply would be enough. I also plan to put an i7 in this PC.

I was looking at the PC Power and Cooling Turbo Cool 860W. Would that be enough power for my planned setup?

I only plan on having 1 HDD and 1 DVD/RW so there won't be anything else drawing too much power.

Thanks for the help!

Really? That would save me a lot of money. I'm skeptical due to Nvidia's recommendations on their SliZone page: SliZone

Or do they only approve more expensive power supplies to get consumers to pay more?

I've been debating that as well. Two GTX 260's or an 4870 x2 is another (cheaper) option. I'm more partial to getting a factory overclocked GPU rather then overclocking one myself.

+1

I have the PC P&C 750 (the red one) and it's nice. Quiet even though it just has a single 80mm fan, doesn't heat up either. IT has nice long cables to. It has (2) 6 pin PCI-E and (2) 6+2 PCI-E cables. It will run what you want.

The Corsair is nice to, I can only say what I know from what I have.
