Question How much performance loss will there be running a 7900 XTX at PCIe 5.0 x8 ?

I am thinking of buying an ASRock X870E Taichi motherboard but i would have to use the other PCIe slot for another expansion card which would mean running my GPU to at x8.
I am wondering if this going to mean a significant performance loss for my GPU, if any?

The ASRock X870E Taichi Lite is $400. My other option would be to buy an MSI MPG X870E Carbon WiFi that has a separate x4 PCIe slots from chipset, but that mobo is £100 more expensive at $500. Not to mention with shipping and import in my country, it will end up costing me over $700.

I would opt for the MSI board at this point or wait for the board to show up at your country's doorsteps to avoid the high import taxes. The third PCIe slot isn't shared with any other slot on the board. In fact, if you did your calc's right, being an early adopter is always the expensive route, not to mention the one that tends to have bugs to iron out.
