Hey, i want to know how much power i need i was thinking 850W watts. My rig:

Case- cool master Haf X
Motherboard- Asus maximus vi hero
Cpu- i7 4770k (haswell)
Graphics card- Evga gtx780 sc (needs 600W minimum)
optical drive- Asus 24X Dvd burner
HDD- Seagate barracuda 2tb
Ram- G.skill Ripjaws 8gb

After putting your parts together through PCPartPicker http://pcpartpicker.com/parts/partlist/ the power supply you need has to be greater than 433W, so a 850W PSU seems over kill. This of course is provide that I picked the right parts that you described in your rig setup.

I might want to sli in the future so i am not sure if 760W will be enough and also take into account watercooling, heaps of fans, Add on lights. Also it needs to be haswell certified for my 4770k

Having headroom on your PSU is actually a good thing since it's better to have a power limit on your system be somewhere in-between a PSU overall power wattage. Say someone has a 1000W PSU it'll perform and have an overall better effeciancy at 50% usage capacity which would be 500W.

oh ok i think 850W will be the best for me, So what do you think is the best 850W psu. It doesn't have to be personal thoughts because i want a very good one, also what does modular and stuff mean?

First off what is your price range for a PSU? Second, there are several types of power units, ones that are non-modular and come with every chord under the sun attached to the power supply, semi-modular which come with the necessary chords attached, but you can choose how many 8-pin connectors you want, and then there are the fully modular power supplies where you can pick all of the chords you want attached to your power supply. A fully modular power supply is the best as it allows for a user to pick exactly what chords they need for exactly the parts they have, this also improves airflow in your computer.
