How much power do I need?

I'm looking for a new Macbook for programming. I plan on doing little projects with multiple languages. I'm wondering what specs should I get and should I get the macbook air or pro? If I forgot anything let me know.

If you are a beginner i disrecommend getting a macbook. You will find lots of software not working on your macbook, esspecialy when you are still learning, you might want to use the same software as the tutorial provider. The reason why this question has not been answered is due to the lack of information provided. What do you want to make, what SDK you want to use?, what small things?etc.
