Hey guys, I am building a new PC and need help with how much RAM I will need for 3D modeling and animation software. No specific software, just any amount that you guys recommend. Pretty simple. Thanks for any help and advice! :3

Ram isn't everything. While 16gb would be ideal, make sure you invest in a good graphics card too. It doesn't have to be a gtx titan (but then again why not) just make sure it does what you want.

Thanks for the help guys! I am just asking how much RAM I will need, I don't need to know about prices or my GPU.

Project sizes... Hmm... I will most likely never do anything very small, so I guess that these will be medium-very large projects.

And also guys, when you are thinking about this take no prices in mind. If 16 would be ENOUGH but 32 would be the best and future-proof me for a while, then you just suggest 32 ;3
Thanks!

I have very few parts for this build yet, so I could be getting an AMD FX-8350, I could be getting a 6350, but I guarantee that it will be over 3.3 ghz (probably overclockable as well) and at least 4 cores.

There you go, 16GB of RAM, FX-8350, a very good motherboard and cooler. You'll be able to overclock it a lot.
