Question How much room needed between bottom case fans and GPU?

Hello,

Is there a recommended minimum distance that your bottom case fans should be from your GPU?

In cases like NR200, Jonsbo Z20, and Mechanic Master C28, it is likely a very tight squeeze with even 15mm fans only being 1/4" or so from the GPU itself. I was worried this could cause cooling issues or effect the GPU fans themselves since they will have fans blowing so close to them.

It may depend on how the gpu fans operate. If they input air that's vented out elsewhere from the gpu, e.g. out the top or back of the case outlet or brackets, then the case fans blowing cool air onto the gpu would be helping the gpu fans. So you would have to really know how your gpu ventilates itself.

Yeah, it's your typical AIB that has 3 fans pulling in air from the bottom and out the top/sides. So that's no problem.

The issue is more of having the fans so close to the GPU's fans. Turbulence and all that.
