No more than your current Win 10.
The system DOES need some free space to do this.

Timespan depends on your system and internet speed.

can uninstall a game or two if more room is needed.

And the size of the SSD?

71GB free on a 1TB drive is vastly different than 71GB free on a 250GB drive.


And as always, have a known good full drive backup of this before you hit the GO button.

it's a 480 gb ssd. I make sure to have decent space left.

it's mostly just games populating this drive, since the pc is only a few months old.

all files here have backup in multiple usb flash drives.

if something goes wrong, I'll just ask the guys at the korean store to install W10 again.

And you should really learn how to do that install yourself. It is not that hard.
