How much time does cloud storage takes in down/uploading data?

Hi guys! I have recently bought an asus dvd burner and with it they gave me their
an online unlimited web storage for six months and i really don't know and have an
idea of cloud storage such as how much time does it takes in uploading and
downloading uploaded data and i really want to know and also let me know you that i
didn't use it yet but i want to use it and wants know that if i would allow my
friend to let the large data downloaded from the internet through torrent and
upload it to my asus online web storage accout so i would be able to download such
data from my asus online web storage account so do you know guys and one of you
have an idea that how much time does web storage takes in uploading and downloading
large data of around maximum upto 50 gb?
Because my friend live in western country and have around 20mbps(megabit per
second) wireless internet connection and i am not living in western country so i
have only 2mbps internet wired connection which increases sometimes upto 3mbps
maximum so how much time does it take when if my friend would upload 50gb data into
my web storage so i would be able to download it in what time whatever it would be
such as estimated or calculated?
Any advice or relpy would be greatly appreciated...

It is pretty simple convert the file size from byte to bits by multiple by 8 and divide by you internet rate. You then get how many second it will take.

Now ignores the overhead so you could add 10% or so.

Now when add in the issue that the cloud storage may be far from your house that question is massively complex. To start go learn what TCP window size means. You likely will have to read lot more things to understand it fully.

On high speed connections the delays caused by the distance are more significate, when you have slow connection like you do in your house the major delay is still going to be the bandwidth which you can estimate with the simple math.
