A good quality 450W would be fine. 550W if you wanted more headroom later.

ATX is all standardised. It's only really Small Form Factor that requires a different PSU.
mATX cases should be able to take any ATX PSU.
That's because the 520W you had was probably poorer quality or an old platform without adequate protections. Or that the 12V rail wasn't adequate for the GPU. Not because of the wattage of the PSU.I did burn a 520W PSU with RX570. I did buy the Kolink 700W Core KL-C700. Runs fine with the RX580 too and have many pci-e power connectors.
