How much will my performance increase if I upgrade from 8350 for 4790k?

So atm I've been noticing some really bad fps in games running with my setup. I have a GTX 680 and an FX-8350. I've wanted to switch to an intel cpu for a long time. Should I be expecting any major increases when I'll upgrade to the 4790k? Also I'm getting the Asus Maximum Hero VII motherboard. I might even get liquid cooling and do a bit of overcloking.

Whether you will get any fps increases really depends on how well your current software is taking advantage of the hardware that you have.

Best to provide your system spec and current fps. Most likely the PSU brigade will then arrive.
