How much will upgrading from 1050p to 1080p downgrade my gaming experience?

My current system is running an fx-6300 with an OC'd r9 270. It can run any game I throw at it like GTA V, Shadows of Mordor, Fifa 16, and metro last light at medium to high settings and get around 60fps, but that is in part due to the fact that im running a 1050p screen. Id like to get a bigger 1080p monitor, how much of a performance hit will that take as far as fps? will buying an R9 380x with three gigs of frame buffer be worth it?

1680x1050 has 1764000 pixels. 1920x1080 has 2073600 pixels. Don't expect a huge performance drop. It'll probably bring you down from around 60FPS to around 50FPS. Buying a 380X will bring you back over 60FPS. Also, the 380X has 4GB. 3GB is not an option as far as I'm aware. However, you can usually find a 290 for around the same price and that would be a little faster, albeit more power-hungry.
