I'm planning to spend some money on a PSU (I live in the UK) as my supply hasn't been the best in the world, and I'm planning an upgrade. Here are my current specs:
Ryzen 7 2700
B450 AORUS ELITE
MSI VENTUS XS 1660 SUPER OC
2x8GB RAM

If you need any other information do ask, I'm inept when it comes to hardware so I'm really in need of help.

My current choice of PSU to buy is a Corsair CV550. My price range is limited to say the least, I believe anything over £50 won't be possible right now.

Thank you in advance!

"Power a 1660 Super"? Not a whole lot.
"Reliably power a 1660 Super, for the long run without risking damage to other components"? That's a little different, and around £50 is probably adequate.

Personally, I'd lean towards the CX450 for £55 if the budget can stretch to it.
In the £50 or less range, the CV550 is one of the better options available in the UK at the moment... but it's far from great.
