It's looking like the average age is going to be mid to late 20s.

Could be indeed since usenet is mostly text excluding all the alt.binaries porn. From an email
list I am subscribed to is the following. No link provided but a fast google reveals one.

Adults better Web surfers than teens, study shows
By: K. Oanh Ha
Source: San Jose Mercury News, Calif.

Despite their image for being tech savvy, teenagers aren't as adept as
adults when it comes to using the Internet, according to a report
released Monday.

Teens ages 13 to 17 were able to complete assigned tasks on the Web 55
percent of the time, compared with 66 percent for adults, according to
Nielsen Norman in Fremont, a firm known for studying how consumers use
technology. The teens were hampered by poor reading and research
skills and were more prone to leave a site after encountering
difficulties.

Mind you when comparatively old fogeys like me can misread the FA Dvd thread as being applied to
the league rather than the national side, perhaps big pictures are better. I must learn not to
post hasty replies when rushing off to work.

This group does stand out as one of the more mature of all the groups
I follow (and the number is 30 at the moment). Especially since most
groups I follow are hr.* (Croatian) groups and every kid over here
seems to have discovered Usenet.
