I want to perform my CPU by an overclock,
motherboard is ASUS P8H77-M.
CPU i5 3470
PSU 750 W
video card R9 280x
RAM GSkill 2400 2x4
Mushkin Chronos SSD 120gb
as long as you have a mobo of z77 chipset or higher. you can tweak the BCLK up to 105 and fixed the voltage to 1.250 volts. I've done it and very stable. Someone got 107 BCLK and run the 3470 upto 4.22 - 4.35 Ghz with his asus extreme 4 mobo. It is posted to Intel extreme Utility Community.
This cpu cannot be overclocked, you need a "k" processor
Can't you still overclock it the oldschool way, by changing the base clock?
This method overclocks everything that is connected to the base clock, (RAM,PCI-e lanes, etc) read up about it.
By any means?
Because the software that came with the motherboard, there is a utility that takes a little overclock, but I would take it to the 4 Ghertz

BCLK overclocking is very limited with the newer Intel chips. You can get maybe 5% if you're lucky.
