I've been having issues where USB ports are failing and my computer will randomly freeze all of my devices and require multiple restarts to fix. I ran a perfmon report, and these were my results. I can tell something is damaged, but I don't know how to read these. The performance diagnosis doesn't work and sends me to a Microsoft support page on internet explorer (running Windows 10 so I don't even have IE).

Here's a screenshot of the Diagnostic Results. If any of you want me to pull something else up just ask, and I'll send it (I obviously failed the Hardware Device and Driver Checks).

Something else that might be helpful is Desktop Rating shows all components with a Value of 0.

My extremely amateur guess is my motherboard is toast.

MERGED QUESTION
Question from GowLiez : "USB Ports Not Working"

GTX 1080
i7 6800K
X99 Phoenix SLI WiFi Motherboard
EVGA 600W PSU

Do you have the lastest BIOS installed? (You need at least the F2 BIOS, if not the F4 (avoiding beta versions))

No and I don't know how to do it. Pretty sure its X99 GIGABYTE BIOS or something like that.

quote " Anyway, I contacted Microsoft support, and the first agent did something on my computer that they described as "my memory was turned off, so we enabled it."
Was that the virtual memory ? Page file? The report says your very low on memory ,how much do you have ? Using capture devices ,webcams etc will consume your memory very quick.
When you have that amount of Usb devices you need to take care to install 1 at once and make sure drivers are on before the next one .
You problem could have been running out of free memory which could cause a hang .
You may have system files corrupt as a result of the system having no access to memory at the time of crash.
You will probably need to try sfc/scanow . Fingers crossed you wont need to reinstall.
This is just my opinion and is not guaranteed in any way as a fix .

There should be a couple of places where the BIOS version comes up. In the BIOS itself (press F2 on boot) and also available with apps such as CPU-Z. (looking closer the BIOS might not be the bigger issue, as the initial BIOS was the F2 BIOS.) You may want to consult the manual and reset the BIOS (pg 34).

Can you tell us what brand, and model your PSU is as well as its power out? (under powered, even if the PSU claims it can deliver, can cause issues too.)

Just to correct you - standard Win 10 install does have IE installed.. just type "internet explorer" in the win 10 search/Cortana search and it will pop up..(think MS trys hide it - to force people use Edge).

Also - you prob don't need any external product to see your BIOS vers.. again, in search/Cortana search area. .. type "system information" and you should find an app that will show you (on the default summary page.. about half way down).

HTH
Cheers

Pretty sure this is it

I don't know the specific BIOS verison but I know that I have had the same version since May 2016 when I bought the computer

I have reinstalled windows 5 times in the last week. Hasn't fixed anything. It was the virtual memory that they enabled. It didn't fix anything. I have 64 GB of RAM

sorry for that ,You didnt add that to your specs.

You may have a problem with Windows or your hardware and drivers.
Try booting up a Linux OS and see if that fixes your USB problem.
If it does then you may have virus on Windows.
If it still fails then you have a hardware problem, maybe motherboard.

It is *NOT* an operating system issue. It is *NOT* a motherboard issue. It is strictly a power supply issue. That PSU is a Z grade EVGA unit and some of the lowest end PSUs available. I wouldn't trust these things to power a flash light. You're running an X99 system with a GTX 1080, it needs solid, steady power from a high end PSU. Not a junker EVGA White Box PSU which is the lowest of the low end PSUs you could possibly buy. Without, expect dead USB ports and all other kinds of issues to pop up.

Go to device manager and uninstall all USB ports and delete the drivers, if that is possible. Then download the drivers for your board from the manufacturer's website and install those and see if that fixes it. Windows 10 kept screwing up my video card pushing drivers to it, so I had to turn off the Automatically Update Drivers feature. Just a guess, at best! Good luck!

Even a Corsair CXM (NOT the older Builder Series versions) would probably be a more solid unit. If you're not careful, a white series (or other junk PSUs) can cost you much more than a decent PSU.... The symptoms experienced could, and probably will, get worse and parts permanently die.

Yea the CX650m would also be a solid budget choice. Often it is priced too close to the B2 750, for me to ever recommend it. Evga pricing has been aggressive with that unit, for quite some time.

Yeah that's a good price for that unit, I agree.
