How should distribute funds for a Gaming Rig?

I was planning on building a new gaming rig by the end of this year, and I was wondering how much money should go into what, percentage wise. Like what percent of the budget should be put on GPU, CPU, MOBO, etc.

The sad truth is you aren't going to be doing a lot of gaming with that budget if you need to buy everything new.

elbert's recommendation is pretty solid, and like was said..you can't get very hardcore with $450. You can still see the percentage breakdown based on the list.

Just hope u dont need a monitor, keyboard, mouse etc too.. but yeah elbert's build is not too bad if not, and should be ok for some light gaming. I may even try 2nd hand with that budget, even though you have zero warranty cover then obviously.

Elbert's list is impressive for $450 but performance in most modern AAA games will be very poor on it
Should consider saving a bit more or buying used unless you want to play older games or less demanding games

The 1050 make it a very viable system at 1080p games.

Alright, thanks a lot for the feedback guys!

@Multipack, I already have all of my peripherals. I'm not looking to max out my games at 1080p and get 60fps on every game. I just want a sufficient build that can perform better than this generation of consoles, and have room for upgrading in the future. And elberts build looks really good for the price, and should be able to play all modern games with decent settings and respectable frames (40+ for me).

As I said before, I'm only looking for an entry level experience that will get me away from this crappy 2012 business PC I have now. We all gotta start somewhere. I really appreciate all of the advise and comments though Thanks everyone
