how switch from 32 bit to 64 bit at lenovo vista

I have a laptop Lenovo dual core 64bit CPU with windows vista 32 bit.
I want to upgrade the laptop to work with 64bit.

Then you will have to purchase a windows 64 bit version and do a fresh windows install.

You will lose all your installed programs and will have to back up any data(photos, documents) to an external device.
