I need some assistance with setting up a more efficient printing system for my uncle's pizza shop. Currently, we're facing challenges with manual printing processes, and I'm looking for a solution to automate the printing of invoices for online orders.

Context: My uncle's pizza shop has a PC in the office connected to an Epson TM M30 POS Printer at the counter. However, it's becoming increasingly difficult for employees to manage orders efficiently, especially during peak hours. The front end of the restaurant utilizes an iPad for taking and managing orders.

I'm seeking a solution that allows us to automatically print invoices from our website without requiring manual intervention on the main PC. The goal is to streamline the order processing workflow and improve efficiency for the staff.

• Integration with existing systems, particularly the website and iPad-based order management system, is crucial.

What options have been considered and why (or why not) implemented?

Your post seems very much to be a homework or work assignment and Forum Rules prohibit assistance by doing such work for you., The described requirements may indeed be real world but there is no way to truly know from this end.

What you must do is provide more information and details along with additional explanation of the overall work flows and order handling/printing process.

How is the actual invoice print job currently being initiated?

For example: does the current process require the employee to initiate printing the invoice via some menu choice: "Print Invoice" or "Submit"?

This, as I understand your post, is the problem that needs to be addressed:

What and why? I can understand the need to automatically print an invoice. However, without some form of checks and balances there is a good chance that incorrect invoices (orders) will get printed due to some entry error and/or the customer changing their mind.

Voiding and redoing automatically printed invoices will likely add to the confusion.

Who is responsible for the website? It should not take much code smooth out the process once the root problem is truly understood.

And if the system is currently working to some extent (with problems) then the problem is not hardware compatibility related.

And, just for the record, if the printer should need to be replaced it should simply be a matter of installing the new printer drivers on the Office/Main PC for everything to continue as before.
