How to beat Dragons in Skyrim

Dragons are basically the ultimate enemies in the world of Skyrim. These flying lizards can prove to be quite a threat, so how do you best deal with them?

Step 1)Avoid it's breath attacks.
Not only is it's breath weapon pretty deadly, but if you get hit full in the face with it you are going to be unable to see while you are stuck in it, which can make fighting back a bit challenging. If you see it rearing it's head up and getting ready to blast you, try to move to the side so you can attack it while it's breathing fire just beside you.

Step 2)Watch your health bar!
If you do end up getting caught in a dragons breath attack, keep an eye on your health bar while you are trying to scramble for cover. You will continue to be damaged by a dragon's breath attack even after it is no longer directly effecting you. If you are getting even somewhat low on health, heal up or you might die from the damage over time effect of the breath weapons.

Step 3)Aim for the dragon's wings while it is flying.
If you have either a ranged weapon or destruction magic, hopefully with the impact perk, you can aim for the dragons wings whenever it stops to hover in one place while it is flying. If you can do enough damage to it's wings then you can potentially knock it out of the sky and stun it for some time. This is the perfect time to get some damage in against it, when it won't be fighting back.

If you keep repeating the process of knocking him out of the sky, you should be able to eventually bring it's health bar down and kill it, just be sure to take cover from it's breath weapon and play it safe. You can also lure it to a group of giants and have them fight each other while you watch, if there's a group of them nearby.
