How To Boot To USB Without Error?

I can't seem to boot my computer to USB for installing a bootable USB Windows 7 installation. I've recently installed an SSD and wish to have a fresh install. But I get the error: A disk read error occured, press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart. It works on my laptop though. I have had problems with this before but can't suss out what I did to get it working. Any help is much appreciated. My motherboard is an ECS 6100PM-M2-V3. I used Rufus with MBR

I thought that as well but considering it worked on my laptop I had personally ruled out the USB stick being the problem. Don't have another one lying around.
