How to cap system FPS

Hello, does anyone know a program to cap all of my game's FPS at 60? I use Precision X now, but every time I restart my computer it turns the frame rate limit off.

why do you want to cap it at 60 fps?

If you have an nvidia card, you can use the nvidia control panel to cap it at 60.

Turn on VSync

Unless he never dips below 60fps, he should leave vsync off. With vsync on, if he dips below 60fps by even 1fps, it will drop him down to 30fps.

Thanks for all of the responses! I want to limit it because my gpu heats up easily and my monitor is only 60hz so going above does not do anything except waste power and heat my PC up. Thanks again everyone

i guessed it , so the most efficient way is to turn on VSync

so do you mean in the Nvidia control Panel then? Thats the setting I found, havent tested it yet though.

You can also cap your framerate using Rivatuner. It won't give you the negative side-effects of vsync (input lag, dropping to 30fps, etc).

In the settings for rivatuner (the wrench icon) you will see a framerate section where you can limit it. I have mine set to 59fps.

We are speaking about High end rigs , there wont be FPS drops to 30FPS . i always prefer a native way to solve an issue rather than programs with unstable behaviour.
