I recently bought a Panasonic smart TV (model - VIERA TH-40DS500D) And it supports mirroring (direct mirroring at that, according to its website - http://www.panasonic.com/in/consumer/tv/led-lcd-tv/th-40ds500d.html). And I have a Moto G2 phone which shows cast in its settings. But when I turn it on it says no device detected even though I'm standing right in front of my TV and it is on. So what I wanna know is that if my phone really does support cast and if it does then what do I have to do to make it work.

Please don't tell me to get a Chromecast. I know about it but I'm not asking about it.

P.S. - I tried YouTube's "Watch it on TV" function and it worked. I controlled YouTube from my phone and watch the video on the TV.

It's a very good tutorial but sadly it didn't work for me. I found another video that had a phone UI and settings that is similar to mine and from it I learned that even though the cast option is there in the settings my phone doesn't support mirroring. Or, according to some other articles, it does after you root the phone, which I'm not gonna do.

Anyways, thanks for the reply and the video. And for anyone with similar problem to mine I'm posting the link of the video to help you out.
