That just makes DHCP give you a different private ip it wont change what country sites or apps think the OP is in.

you can use a proxy server, I use it a lot when im in china as they dont allow google anything. Type in the proxy server address into your internet connection and what port to use and your in another country, even whatsmyip will give you the new proxy server address instead of your local one.
