How to change my f3 button

I have an Inspiron Dell Laptop. I play Minecraft and the f3 key is suppose to be the coordinates button... but it wont let me use it because it's the battery key on the computer itself. I've tried to change the coordinates key in Minecraft but apparently you can't... please help

huh? On all laptops you have to press the function (Fn) key and the f3 button to do that.
