Hello, I went to Settings' Mouse Pointer to increase the size of the cursor. However, by doing so, the now-larger cursor icon blocks the view of descriptions of some UI in some programs. Can we change the direction of the pointer from "arrow head (top left) to tail (bottom right)" to "arrow head (top right) to tail (bottom left)"?

Possibly.

Two immediate thoughts:

1) Google "mouse pointer icons". Then revise and filter the search criteria as necessary to narrow the search.

Likely that you will need to download and test a couple to verify that the direction change is as you require and expect.

Be careful about any downloads. Could just be the icon(s) you wish but many such sites attempt to mislead or otherwise trick you into downloading something else. Take a close look at the Download buttons etc. being presented.

If you do not find a suitable icon then you can create your own.

2) Create your own icon.

Actually, I found quite a number of possibilities and options.

For example:

Google about as you deem applicable and appropriate.

Do be wary of downloading third party tools and utilities.

You may be able to use your existing icon, make a copy, and just edit the icon via mirroring, rotating etc. via Paint.

If the arrow later proves to be problematic then you can edit again as necessary.

The best thing you could do is to look for a mouse cursor png, flip it in something like paint/Paint.NET and save it as a .cur file (not sure if this can be done by just saving it as a .cur file, you might need to convert it from .png to .cur online). Then you just dump that .cur file in the same folder where all the mouse cursors are located and select it as your cursor...

its amazing how hard it is to even get Google to search for the right things.
And then there isn't much choice

I figured stardock would have something since they offer to replace entire desktop - https://www.stardock.com/products/cursorfx/
I don't know how good it is, or if it allows people to break all the rules and have a cursor that points the wrong way :)
Stardock have been making desktop UI apps for years so they no fly by night company, and also makes games now - https://www.galciv4.com/

I know stardock but I also read many negative comments from its customers about their company practices. I think some of them said that if they changed their hardware, their licenses didn't work and the company did not help them so they had to buy new license.

BTW, I dislike unethical companies such as that search company.
