Question How to connect more than 6 SATA HDDs to my motherboard?

I want to have some fun and connect 10+ HDDs into a massive RAID array, since I currently have dozens of used hard drives laying around my apartment.

Problem: My motherboard (listed in specs) has only six SATA data connectors. How do I connect more SATA data cables between the hard drives in my motherboard?

PCIe adapter cards.
(you also have to figure out how to power them...😉 )

BUT......Any RAID is highly dependent on the drive sizes.

1+1+2+ RAID 0 = 3TB array.
1+1+2+RAID 1 = 1TB array.

And so on.

You could probably merge different size drives in Storage Spaces within Windows.
