[SOLVED] How to connect my Samsung M7 screen (hdmi-arc) to audio (no hdmi-arc)

Hello,

I need a little help, we bought not so long ago a Samsung M7 monitor and we would like to buy an audio device. My GF has seen the Hyperboom speaker and she would probably would like to go for that gear.

The problem is that the monitor has only bluetooth (BT4.2 ) and HDMI arc (for sound) and the Hyperboom has bluetooth (BT4.2 ), and an optical entry and no hdmi-arc connexion.

If I buy a converter will I be able to connect the two device together and mostly get sound? The idea is that we would like to avoid bluetooth really.

Would I need a converter with HDMI-ARC out (for the monitor) or HDMI-in? and a Optical out?

You might want to look into a sound bar that has HDMI-ARC or work with BT as is, wirelessly. You could look into HDMI-ARC adapters as you've mentioned at the bottom of your post but I find them to be hit or miss.

The Hyperboom would be the device my GF would like really.
