How to Control my water cooler

And I'm just wondering how too control noise is there any thing I can do about the Pump speed cause I have the Asus Crosshair V Formula-Z and currently have the fans connected to the CPU_FAN and the pump to the CPU_OPT. Now in fan xpert I can Control the fan speed but not the pump. Pump speed is always around 1844 RPM. Now on amazon (Maybe it's wrong) But the pump speed is 2900+-150 RPM supposedly. Also the Fan speed is 1000-2000 rpm but i can never hit 2000rpm hell not even 1900 so whats the problem.

Pump has to be connected to the CPU_FAN, pretty sure it is said in the manual:

If you don't then you have no control over it. And it is what's important.

So i guess i plug the pump in CPU_FAN and the fans in CPU_OPT

Yeah, that's how it works basically.

I commenter on another thread about this. The manual for my h55 says plug pump into cpu fan but then it will vary (unless locked through software). I then read plug pump into psu for always on.

Edit: I use a y split to take power from PSU and send rpm to spare mobo header so cab monitor pump speed and alarm if it stops.
