how to create shortcuts

Solution
And if you want to create a shortcut on your Desktop, simply Right click on a space on the Desktop and choose New/Shortcut.
You will then have to browse your machine for the .exe file for the program you want to start, or type a path to it. A good and useful example is to type shutdown.exe /s /t 0 (Note spaces!) Click 'Next' and 'Finish' and you will have created a shortcut to shut down your computer without having to use the Charms Menu. If you wish you can change it's icon by right click on the new shortcut, choose 'Properties' and then 'Change Icon'. 'Choose an Icon from the list', there's a nice red one bottom right...
If you want the same Shortcut on your Start Menu, right Click and 'Pin to Start'
