How to cross fire two graphics card to enhance performance of the game?

Okay so yesterday, I found out about a new method for enhancing gpu power the cheaper way. My friend told me that by two of the same graphics cards, you can double the the core speed and Video RAM in the cards just like regular RAM.

How does this work. I have heard you need a cross fire cable in order to connect the two graphics cards. I am looking to crossfire two Ge Force GT 630 graphic cards together.

Now I have little knowledge on how to cross fire, so please correct me on what I am saying, in order for me to know.

Crossfiring nvidia cards brought a smile to my lips.

First, crossfire is amd radeon's name for what you are describing. Nvidia's gtx cards call it SLI.

Next, crossfire and Sli are for gaming video cards. Not cards as low end as you are describing.

Also the video memory does not stack like system memory in 99% of situations.
