I bought a new gigabyte 1060 gtx 6gb windforce from amazon and received it yesterday. As happy as I was when I received it I was disappointed to notice a fingerprint on the IO shield and some minor scratches on the backplate plus a major scratch on the fan base. The GPU itself is clean that I can't recall any signs of dust inside the heat sink or the inside of the casing. Since it's my first time buying a GPU, I was wondering if it's normal to receive my product in such condition. I'd also like clarify that the antistatic bag was sealed with the yellow QC strip.

PS: I didn't test the card yet since I'm still building my PC

Thank you.

If you're patient enough to wait for a replacement, I'd send it back immediately, unopened. Amazon is usually good about returns, and you have a very GOOD reason to return it. Yes, it will probably work fine, but why accept an obviously messed up product.

Start here:
http://rma.gigabyte.us/

----------------
Register with GIGABYTE for the following benefits
Check warranty Status by SN
Request warranty service online (approve within 2 days)
Check RMA status
Register to be a GIGABYTE registered owner
----------------

"Warranty Status" will tell you when it was actually sold.

So it's not common to have small scratches on the back plate? I've been scammed ??
I mean I bought it for $269 "sold and fulfilled by amazon"

Unless they advertised it as "refurbished," or "Open Box," it should be new. And "New" doesn't have scratches or fingerprints.

it says Warranty Coverage:05/22/2017~06/20/2020

I placed this order from amazon as a back order on july 2nd 2017 and invoice description is stated as "new"!!!
