Here is how you can disable Bing Desktop from your Windows 8/Windows 8.1 computer:
- ■Log on to Windows 8/Windows 8.1 using the administrator account.
■On the Start screen, press Windows + R keys to open the Run command box.
■In the Run command box, type MSCONFIG in the available field, and press Enter.
■On the System Configuration box, go to the Startup tab.
■From the displayed interface, click Open Task Manager.
■From the Task Manager window, make sure that the Startup tab is selected.
■From the displayed list of applications, click to select Bing Desktop Application.
■Once selected, from the bottom-right corner, click the Disable button.
■Once done, close the opened interface and restart the computer to allow the changes to take effect.
