How to disable / hide log-in accounts with custom image

Hi there,

I need to disable the access of my computer for my children temporarily and I want to use a custom image background as an indication for the reason. So they know what they did wrong.

Originally, I was looking for a solution on how can I lock my PC to disable booting up (using bios' system password maybe?) while the custom image is showing up.

If that's not possible, can I lock my Windows 7 system with a custom image on the start-up screen? Can I hide or disable login accounts temporarily so they can't use their Guest account to log in?

I'm the administrator of course.

You can download an application to change the logon/lock screen for all users.
